Yum Rachel. I gave up all beans while I was doing Whole30, but lately I have been taking a little break so this is something I can eat and enjoy!

Yum! This looks delish! And I love Mira’s happy little face. Did you cook the chickpeas in a regular pot or in a pressure cooker? I haven’t always had great success with dried beans.

Oops, sorry I’m slow replying! I soaked the chickpeas overnight in plain water, then drained and rinsed them in the morning. I brought them to a boil with 1 tsp baking soda, skimmed off the foam, reduced the temp to medium low, covered and cooked for about 2 hours until the beans were “mashable” with a fork. No pressure cooker! Hope that helps. 🙂

i LOOOOVE hummus, thanks for sharing the recipe! you see, the only store-bought hummus I ever have is when I visit my sister in the US. here in Germany, you hardly find hummus in stores and if you do, it’s totally overpriced and in small packaging. this is why i have always made it myself. it has been a long time though, and i should really get some chickpeas again soon…

Mmmmm….garlic….in humus. Yum! Will have to give this a try. Looks like someone else likes it a lot, judging from the picture…what a cutie!

  8. Cory says:
