I’m in… eek! I am slightly concerned with the bathroom breaks… you know, with already having had 4 kiddos :$

  2. Christine says:

oooh, and just because I’m curious, what size mason jar do you drink from? I have the 500ml at home πŸ™‚

  3. Jen says:

Count me in! I was planning on doing this anyway.

  4. abe says:

Oh…this totally hits home.Too much coffee and tea for me…I am surprised I don’t look like a prune .Hold on…I do look rather prunish.Oh well, can’t win.But I am going to try this.

  5. as i mentioned before, i’m totally in. i started today, with 0.5 l first thing in the morning… made it to 2 l today, want ro increase daily until i reach 3l.
i will try to post an instagram from time to time not of my coffee cup but my jar of water ;)) this way you can tell i’m still with you in the water challenge πŸ™‚
    hugs xx

  6. I too am hit and miss with my water intake I try to drink 5 pints a day, about 2.5 litres and I know when I haven’t by the end of the day. I have not tried adding anything to my water as I am fine with it plain, I like the idea of an alarm to remind me I need something!

    • Rachel says:

I like having my big jug on the counter – when I see the level is still high I’m reminded to get on it or I’ll be waking all night to pee! πŸ˜‰ If I don’t fill the jug I end up losing track of my intake or forgetting all together…

  7. Tracey says:

    Me, me, me, I’m in!
I know I am suppose to drink water and during the hot months it’s no problem, it’s this cold mornings that throw me off. I find myself wanting hot cups of tea or coffee and not drinking my H2O like I should when the temps drop. Tomorrow is another day and a chance to redeem myself!

  8. Janine says:

ok, you’ve convinced me. im in. i will start tomorrow. right now…..i literally drink NO pure water a day so this should be interesting πŸ™‚

  9. i drink a lot of water first thing after i workout in the morning. then coffee πŸ™‚ then water the rest of the day. yay!

so my question, i use sliced lemon a lot in my water as the neighbor has a tree that gives abundantly and they’re always offered to us. do you think the eo is better than actual lemon? just wondering what your take might be.

    • Rachel says:

Can’t get more local than that!! Lemon EO is way concentrated so it packs a more powerful punch, its also made from the peels so there are different benefits. That being said, local, presumably organic lemons….I wouldn’t balk at that. There are benefits either way!
Way to go guzzling all that water! πŸ™‚

  10. Svenna says:

Thank you for posting this, Rachel. Just at the right time too, as I was thinking about this just the other day. I’m in – but off to a wobbly start. I love the idea of drinking a whole lot of water first thing in the morning! I just have to remember! πŸ™‚

  11. Kelly says:

I’m a little late but after reading how beneficial water is, I’m in too!

  12. Tanya says:

OK Rachel, I’m late to the party … but I’m in! Starting tomorrow! I have been at my kids to get their water in because of their athletic activities … but I’ve been horrible at setting an example for them. I’ll let you know how it goes.

  13. […] wanted to check in on those of you who opted to take part in the water challenge. I’ve been so pumped to see how many of you have said you’ll join me in this endeavour. […]

  14. Sandymae says:

I will join you all too! I used to keep a water bottle by my side at all times but somehow “fell off the wagon”. I drink several glasses through the night when I wake up but then forget to drink pure water during the day, opting for herbal teas instead. I will start with the water again. I know we need it and starting early in the morning is a great idea.

  15. angie says:

Oh Rachel, as you know I’ve been away from the screen a lot these days, but how did I miss this. I’m in! I need a reminder to drink enough water, this is it.

  16. […] Thinking of all you who are joining me on the water challenge. Are you trying to wean off that extra cup of coffee? Maybe you could try a tea latte – baby […]

Still going strong and finally not running to the washroom every five minutes! I have lost 5 lbs so far and have more energy than I used to. Water is definitely the key πŸ™‚
