Oh I just want to smoosh those baby cheeks! She is so beautiful, more so every time you post a new picture of her. 🙂

Your weekend sounds lovely – so much better than spending the weekend recovering from a head cold, which all of us did here! xo

Whatever that salad/dish is it looks delicious! Looking forward to your recipes. (p.s. the word “treat” link is broken for me).

Thanks for letting me know about the link, Karen. I’ve fixed it now!
The soup was a simple chicken noodle we made from the remains of a roasted chicken. I threw some spinach in on a whim and it was so tasty. Mmm.

It sounds like you had a busy weekend.
My son read all of the percy jackson books and rates them as
    one of the favorites.
I haven’t heard of the series you were watching so now I have something new to watch.
Yes, I do wish I could stop by for tea and pie… I do love pie!

Sounds like a wonderfully full weekend my friend. My kids loved the Lightening Thief and all the books that followed! A bit scary but very fun.

So funny, we put raw spinach in our chicken soup too! I love Mira’s sparkley eyes, and that awesome, grubby little snowman.
It’s weird that you guys are the ones without snow right now-and we finally have some!

  7. That soup looks so yummy! Is here a recipe you are willing to share? Or is it just “soup!”

    • Rachel says:

The soup was very simple – a couple of carrots and stalks of celery simmered in broth, noodles tossed in near the end and fresh spinach to top it off (the spinach was an experiment that turned out well). The real excitement was the broth. We’re just starting to learn about the healing properties of a “real” broth and are cooking our stocks much longer. This one was made from the leftovers of a farm chicken we roasted. We simmered the bones in water for 3o hours and it was so rich and tasty. And it really did feel “good” eating it. Mmm.
