ok seriously…this may be the cutest thing ever! Your post about wool sounds like me, I too am obsessed with caressing it and calling it “yummy” all the time. I also have a bin full of felted goodwill sweaters! The funny thing is I was sitting here this morning thinking about what sort of valentine project I could make with some felted sweaters..maybe hats instead. Thanks again for great inspiration! You are too cool:)

I was thinking about your hat project when I made it!
I want to see a Valentine’s project! I was thinking about what I should do with some of my felt scraps…Glad I’ve found a fellow sweater hoarder. Unfortunately this post just has me pumped to buy more!

You’re doing a great job and I agree with “DAD” – he’s the most adorable rocket man ever.

I love the hat, especially the rocket applique! My little guy has just developed a love for all things rocket…I’m sure that I can find something to applique a rocket onto for him. Thanks for sharing!!!

Those are soooo cute and creative! I really love them – and I love that you also say “matchy-matchy! I get super itchy with wool:( Maybe a project for old cotton sweaters?

Man, I love those hats!! I want to try to make one, I’ve got a number of sweaters kicking around to felt. The last couple of pictures of big brother with his hat make it look like a slouchy hat. Love it! I also love little brother’s interference.

  7. Hello there, I keep seeing your name around some familiar places and thought I’d take a peek. And you’re a Canuck like me!!! I love this hat and I thank you for letting me know how to do the clean seam at the top. I also have a dwindling sweater stash, and I’m saving up for a thrift store binge. I’ll be back, it’s lovely here.

I just appreciate so much the time you took doing this for beginners like me; for your witty humor too. The step-by-step was perfect. THANK YOU!
