Oh fantastic! What a job. It would have been nice to help to save your back and shoulders but I’m sure you’ll enjoy the fruits of your labour ten-fold by doing it all yourself. And so many little helpers – the first seed up is going to be so special! Happy gardening!

  6. I can’t wait to see pics as this grows along. Lovely, ambitious and so impressive. Can’t wait to see the tiny gardeners this space cultivates. I look forward to your tales.

I really admire your little garden. I bet the children will love what you pick from it throughout the summer.

Yesterday we started on year 2 of our balcony garden – so exciting! It’s amazing what we can grow in pots and bags. It will be interesting to see how your broccoli turns out – we were thinking of trying broccoli this year, but passed on it in favour of more potatoes. So nice to see the green in your photos. Hurray for growing things 🙂

[…] For reading I enjoyed the The Unusual Suspects over the weekend and although it is a children’s book I was surprised how gruesome it seemed at times. Not a book my little people are ready for but I found it entertaining. I’ve also been reading through Ecological Gardening. I’ve been learning more about soil, composting and mulching and love that the author presents the info from a Canadian/Northern gardening perspective so there are lots of tips that match our climate. We’ve also spent lots of time with The Garden Primer and are thumbing through The Canadian Edible Garden. I’m looking forward to implementing what I’m learning in our new garden. […]

Looks great! Hope you’ll have lots of tasty vegetables soon 🙂
We are planning our garden here too. But I think we won’t get much done this summer, because we have to dig up most of the garden to make a new wall in the cellar 🙁 It’s an old house and the elements have not been nice to one of the old brick walls…
