We had a full and wonderful weekend. It was great, I’m exhausted. I need a good night’s sleep…followed by a nap. But it would be a good nap, a wake-with-a-smile-on-your-face nap.
We’ve had farm fresh breakfast;
baby’s first food, sobbing that baby is growing up;
exciting news for us, exciting news for friends (more on that later);
plans, idea, questions, more plans, brain blanks;
late night (and slightly incoherent) girl-time;
popcorn and smoothies for dinner; no thoughts of cooking while our thoughts are busy elsewhere;
a girl’s first, and much anticipated, magic lesson;
a van full of organic goodness thanks to our newly discovered local food co-op (hooray!)
(yep, those are bags of oats and flour for a family of eight);
and my favourite pantry refill – 2.5kgs of organic, fair-trade cocoa…brownies to follow.
Welcome to a new week, friends! Hope yours is full of light and joy.
Oh! You had a very beautiful weekend, as I see. All these sacks of flour?, cocoa… how much inspiration they have.
Can we hope for a recipe of brownies?

Now I am very curious about your news!
And the baby is eating…big people food?!
Oh, they do grow too fast.
xx
Your excitement is shining in this post, Rachel. Can’t wait to hear your new plans. And that food co-op …I must really look for one here.
I am hoping this has to do with selling and buying a house (or farm???). I cannot wait to find out 🙂
Your excitement is contagious! Glad that the weekend was a clear winner. That egg looks delicious!
sounds absolutely great!
Hmmmm….can’t wait to hear the news! Sounds exciting!
she’s already eating? gah. it seems like just yesterday you were waiting for her to make her debut.
oh! wondering what your news is!!! and oh! a family of eight. that’s amazing. you are super-mama!
much love,
C
What an eventful weekend! I remember huge bags of flour, oats and such when we were living in community.
Looking forward to hearing more about those mysterious news!
Hooray for the co-op!!
She is getting so big already, but boy does she look like her siblings. I was a bit sad when I gave the remains of our 50# bag of org ww flour to a friend. Even with just five of us buying in bulk is good! Hope your week is going well.
I love buying in bulk…we do it for our family of four.
Exciting and mysterious plans….
My goodness I can’t believe your babe is eating food already! Wow, time really flies! Your pictures made me hungry, now I am craving brownies like crazy 🙂
Excited to hear your news!
Blessings <3
Oh my, that baby photo is precious and wonderful!
